About me
I am a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist in private practice. I am available to see clients for counselling sessions online and in person (by prior arrangement). I completed my undergraduate degree and Masters in Clinical Social Work at the University of Cape Town. I also offer supervision to clinical social workers.I have been a social worker for fourteen years and have experience working at primary and high schools, universities, NGOs, medical settings, psychiatric settings and in private practice.I work at the University of Cape Town as a clinical social worker and mentor facilitator in various departments. I am passionate about mental health and aim to facilitate a practice that makes it inclusive and accessible to as many clients as possible.

My approach
I believe that ALL people have the capacity for change and strive to run an INCLUSIVE practice. My goal is to work alongside my clients to achieve the best treatment possible.My area of expertise includes working with young adults and adults facing transitions in their lives. As a psychotherapist I can work with my clients to unpack childhood experiences that may impact their current adult life.As I am clinically trained, I work with a variety of mental health diagnoses including dual diagnoses. I have experience working as an oncology social worker and can assist with the psychological support that is essential when someone is managing a medical condition.I am a registered BWRT® Practitioner. BWRT® stands for BrainWorking Recursive Therapy, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. It is a confidential method that doesn't require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and is carried out in a completely conscious state. Rates and bookings
Please use the booking tab to book.I offer online individual counselling sessions for R750 per a session (50-60min). Couple or family therapy can be arranged. Clients will be billed after the session. I currently do not take medical aid.I understand that choosing a therapist is a personal choice and I am happy to do a telephonic consultation to answer any questions that a client may have. These consultations are 15 minutes and free of charge.
